As the Vice President of Membership, my primary focus is to increase the recruitment and retention of committee members, chairs, and participants while fostering a sense of community within our organization. Additionally, one of my main objectives is to create stronger connections and increase the participation of organizations in our main event. To achieve these goals, the Membership Divison has been working on recruitment strategies such as tabling, FYS Presentations, engaging with Involvement Fairs around campus, etc. Additionally, we have worked hard to increase communication within our members by having Jagathon Ambassadors, All-Committee Meetings (ACM’s), Jagathon Newsletter, weekly emails, and constantly messaging organizations about our upcoming events. This year, we were able to achieve an amazing engagement/activation rate of committee members and chairs during push days.
Lastly, I want to share a little about myself! I am from Sao Paulo, Brazil and am I currently a Junior majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. I joined Jagathon in my Freshman year and, since then, it became a second family to me. I love everything we do within this organization and I will forever support this cause.
I’m incredibly eager to continue working with my division this Spring Semester and I can’t wait to have our Main Event. I am celebrating my 3rd year involved with Riley Dance Marathon and I can’t wait for many more to come! I look forward to seeing how we can foster a sense of community and belonging within Jagathon.
